Since its inception in 1936 Hamilton Municipal Employees' Credit Union Limited has grown into a thriving Financial Institution with more than 13,000 members and over $160,000,000 in on and off balance sheet assets. For an initial, refundable membership share of $25 Hamilton Municipal Employees' Credit Union provides exceptional personal service and convenience.
Backed by sound management practices and a democratically elected Board of Directors, our Credit Union offers a comprehensive range of financial options. Profits from our Credit Union operations are returned to our members in the form of dividends and improved services.
Currently, HMECU services the employees (and families) of Healthcare and Local Government in the cities of Hamilton, Brantford and Burlington.
