Well, the signs in the windows are up!  We are getting very excited to see the plans coming together.  

   

Update - Nov 1, 2010

Thanks to the hard work of the credit union’s Building Committee we are pleased to announce that our Brantford branch has found a new location. 

We will be relocating to 330 West St Unit 1 in the spring of 2011. The building is located on the northwest corner of West St. and Galileo Blvd, known as the Dorsey Group Plaza. HMECU will occupy 3000 sq. ft of space in the area formerly occupied by the Ontario Early Years Centre.

The location provides plenty of free parking and in and out easy access for our members

For several reasons, the former “Badge Credit Union” members and staff were very supportive of the merger with HMECU in 2004. One of those reasons was the prospect that one day the current branch would relocate. The “little house on Colborne Street” has served our members very well for 58 years. However, most of our members will agree that a new and modern branch facility that offers, ample free parking, ATMs, safety deposit boxes and other full service banking amenities is long overdue. read more...

Update - May 19, 2010

The Building Committee has been busy in its search for a new location for our Brantford branch. The committee members have been working with a local commercial real estate consultant and have been in the city to visit a number of sites. Based on overwhelming member feedback and other economic business factors important to the growth of the branch, the search has been focused in Central Brantford. The committee has looked at a number of possible locations in the area bounded by Charing Cross, West St., Brant Ave and St. Paul.  So far we have not made any offers to lease or buy but we continue to assess the opportunities in this area.
