Effective October 1, 2007 your Credit Union MasterCard is accepted at more than 28 million locations worldwide, but there are a few places where it is not. When planning trips outside Canada, please be advised that transactions made in Iran, Myanmar (Burma), North Korea, Sudan and Cuba will be declined.

THE EXCHANGE® NETWORK
We are thrilled to be a part of THE EXCHANGE® ATM Network.
Members now have access to over 2,100 ATM locations across Canada, and over 180,000 across the U.S.A.
Just look for THE EXCHANGE® logo on ATMs at participating banks and credit unions across Canada, and you can do the following transactions without paying additional surcharges:
- Deposit cheques and cash
- Transfer funds between accounts
- Withdraw cash
- Check account balance
Surcharge fees are typically $1.50 to $2.00 and are charged when you are not using an HMECU atm. Now, you will never pay this fee when you use a bank or credit union that is also on THE EXCHANGE® NETWORK - we've agreed to never charge each other's cardholders surcharge fees. Members can also have access to their accounts (without a surcharge) when traveling in the U.S.A. at any ATM where THE EXCHANGE® logo is displayed.
You will continue to pay any HMECU account service charges not covered by your SuperMember service package plan which includes the normal Interac fee of $2.00 after your first 5 atm transactions (per month) done at other banks atms.
