More Nominations. WOW!
I would like to nominate Joanne for the Outstanding Employee Recognition. In September my car was broke into and a cheque book stolen. The police advised me to contact my bank. So I did. I spoke with Joanne who booked an appointment for me to come in and see her. Joanne advised me of what would be the best thing to do in this case. Joanne did all the necessary paperwork, tagged the old account so any EFT\'s could be redirected to the new account. Joanne made the transfer of accounts very simplified for me. I called Joanne on several ocassions with questions she always took my phone call and reassured me everything would be okay and that it would be looked after. She always treats me with respect and never makes me feel stupid when I ask questions. She has a very friendly and professional demeanour. She is a definite asset to HMECU. You should be proud to e represented by such a staff member.

A couple of weeks ago I checked my bank account over the phone and noticed that it appeared as though an EFT had come out twice on consecutive days. I called clearing early in the morning long before the branch had opened. I left a message on the machine to have someone call me back regarding my concern. Not long after Yole called me back to explain that they had been experiencing some computer difficulties but the tech was there addressing the problem. I informed Yole that I was waiting for a cheque to clear and with the double EFT that had gone through my account I no longer had enough funds to cover the cheque. Yole said she was unable to access the computer at the present time due to the system being down but would look into it as soon as it was up and running. I said as long as the cheque wasn\'t there today I wasn\'t too worried about it and there was no need to call me back. A couple of hours later Yole called me on my cellphone to notify me that the double EFT had been corrected (part of the computer problems) and, in fact, the cheque was not there that day as well.
Yole didn\'t have to take the extra step of calling me back a couple of hours later on my cellphone to update me on the situation, but she did and it absolutely alleviated my concern regarding the cheque going NSF.

This is coming a little late but last year when we were moving Joanne handled everything with our mortgage and changing things over to our new house. She was so pleasant and professional and always took times to explain things to us. She never made us feel like we were wasting her time. I know she has since transferred to the new St. Josephs branch but I just wanted to say she represents your company in the best possible way. We miss her at the Limeridge branch but wish her well in her new position!

Early this year my husband and I attended the HMCU with a problem. It was discussed with a young women ( who was curteous aswell) although not fully knowledgeable about our situation. She said the HMECU could do nothing for us. I spotted Charlie Collura, explained our frustation and he in turn put us on to Bonnie.
Bonnie listened, asked questions and after realizing how frustrating our situation was made several phone calls on our behalf to clear this matter up.
I have meant to send a letter of appreciation and now I have my chance.
I realize Bonnie has now moved onto the west end location and I will certainly call on her again if need be.
Thanks to Bonnie I have decided to keep my account at the HMECU.

I deposited a significant amount of money from selling my vehicle and Ruth recommended that I open a special savings account at 3.25%. I thought this was a very nice gesture on behalf of her part as I was planning on putting this money into my chequing account. We also cracked a few jokes about how I was going to withdraw a few thousand dollars and purchase Gucci shoes.
Overall, it was a pleasant and entertaining experience.

We recently opened a Merit Line and had difficulties with every step of the way. Each staff member at one time or another over the last 3 weeks has been so incredibly patient and kind with me until I understood what I was doing wrong and never once made me feel like I was challenged, even though I was having a great challenge. I applied on-line, the communication for information, signing documents, understanding what kind of financial assistance we really needed was beyond reproach. We have been members for over 20 years. I have never had such assistance and always with a smile. This experience has put a great relief into our lives. I am sorry to bother you again but it is my pleasure to to send the nomination. As I am sure you know she truly deserves it.
Since you are mentioning Liz at an upcoming staff meeting can you plese also mention what a wonderful job everyone has done. From the West Hamilton Branch as well as the Limeridge Branch. I have been with the credit union about 3 years now and I am never going to leave. Your institution treats people like a person and not a number like the others ( we will not mention any names ). When you call you speak to a real person and can get real answers from that one person without being shuffled to a million different places and spending unneccesary time on the phone. All the staff I had the pleasure to deal with have been astounding and so friendly.
I tell anyone who will listen that we bank with HMECU and that your values are what keeps us there. Customers are not a number but real people. When I come into the branch I feel like I am visiting a relative. It is a very warm atmosphere, and the staff, even if they have never seen you before treat you like they've known you all their life. That warm and personal touch is what makes you so much better than the others.

I know that it stated "Staff Member" however, I would like to nominate the whole staff (Brantford branch). Each time I go to the bank, I am greeted by name and always with a smile. Cheerfulness and helpfulness ring loud and clear the minute I step into that bank. Banking is a total joy at the Brantford bank, even if I am paying my bills! They always make me feel more than a SuperMember, more like family!!!

Hi Charlie. This isn't a complaint by any stretch of the imagination.
I have been a member of HMECU since late 2001 and still don't think I can find the right words to adequately describe the staff and the help, assistance and caring they always display. Since becoming a member I have applied for and received several Stocking Stuffer Loans and recently applied for and received a line of credit. Barb is fantastic, always taking the time to sit with me and go over my applications and answer any questions I have (I have a lot of questions). James recently assisted me with getting a line of credit. I could continue to name almost the entire Hamilton HMECU staff and how great they all are but I guess you already know how great they all are. Whether I'm running in at the end of the day or trying or to decide how much to deposit the staff at HMECU is always patient, friendly and extremely helpful. I always say "Thank you" and let them know how great they are when I'm in one of the branches but I thought I would let you know how great I think they all are. Thank you for taking the time to read my non-compaint.
