At HMECU our mission statement reads as follows:
To be our members’ primarily financial institution by providing a wide range of competitively priced products delivered with service that exceeds their expectations, while maintaining high standards of integrity and financial stability.
While everything in our mission is important, we would like to give you the opportunity to provide us with some feedback about how we’re doing with the part about “delivered with service that exceeds their expectations.”

Good Morning Mr. Collura:
I just wanted to take the opportunity to give some positive feed back about one of your employees who I feel deserves to be recognized as a job well done.
I have been a member with your credit union some time now and joined when I was actually a manager with another credit union when we were at the HPH on the mountain. What drew me to your credit union was first the comments from the nurses that use to come into our office. I remember applying for a position and having an hour interview with you and realizing why your credit union runs as well as it does, with a great leader like yourself.
I first applied for a loan back oh I don't know it feels like forever and at that time I believe it was Lena that really listened to me and helped. She moved I believe to Brantford and from that time on I have had the pleasure of dealing with Joanne Foster. I really cannot say enough about her. She is kind and understanding and always there when you need her. I have called on her many times in the years I have been a member and she is always ready and eager to listen to my circumstance. I work in a seasonal job where all our income comes in the summer months and it gets very light in the winter. We purchased a larger home 2 and half years ago and just as that time the markets started to crash and working in the recreational vehicle industry I have just gone through a very difficult 8 months and having that reflect in my credit bureau.
Again I called on Joanne and she was there for me, lending a caring ear and again understanding my situation, she has come to my rescue, because of my past repayment at your credit union and the relationship we have built over the years.
I understand your banking practices have tighten up due to the economy and you are looking closer at the members you lend to, but I truly thank you for being people focused and really caring about us. Joanne has put her neck on the line for me and I will never let her down.
Joanne is truly a person who went over and beyond in this situation and needs to be rewarded for her actions.

I applied for a loan on-line on Monday of this week today is Friday. Tuesday morning Ms. Nancy Cooper contacted me by telephone and the loan was approved on Wednesday. Very speedy service.The WOW Factor really hit me when Nancy Cooper suggested a way of structuring the loan to ensure that in a few short years I would not only re-pay the $20K loan, but also have an additional $20K cash in the bank as well. She really knows her stuff!Nancy took the time and trouble of familiarizing herself with my very thickfile to such an extent that she was able to suggest a way for me to reach a financial goal to purchase another real estate propertyI hadn\t even mentioned! I was amazed!So in addition to spectacular customer service in terms of courtesy, precision, accuracy and professionalism - Nancy found a way for me to be $20K wealthier. Dear Charlie: I know that this is supposed to be for complaints, but I hope that you will take compliments here too! I want to acknowledge and thank Barbara Armes. I visited her some months back weeping and frightened about my future. I didn't know what to do or how to do it. She was an amazing to me and I can not even begin to start to tell you how she helped me and continued to be a support to me throughout my ordeal. I don't know what would

Dear Mr. Collura,
I am writing to thank you and your team for the caring and professional assistance I received after I discovered that my debit card had been de-frauded on September 17, 2009.
I spoke to you that evening when I was panicking that my trip to France would be compromised. Your authoritative and calm manner were very re-assuring and gave me confidence that the situation would be remedied. On Friday when I contacted your staff in Brantford, they were extremely accomodating to my schedule and very helpful. In 20 minutes, I had my new cards activated and the money returned to my account.
I have told several colleagues and friends about the efficient and customer-focused care I received at HMECU during this crisis and thank you again for your help. Because of you, I enjoyed my 2 weeks in France and came home with some very nice new shoes :)

Hi I would like to nominate Tracy Cain for an exceptional staff member. We have always liked banking with HMECU but we moved to Cambridge more than 3 years ago. I travelled through Hamilton for one year, but finished school so no longer needed to. We deposit cheques once a week and Tracy has set it up so when we deposit it in Cambridge, she can release the cheques after a day or so instead of the 6 days Cambridge holds it! it has been very appreciated. Just as an aside; I want you to know that James has to be one of your best employees at the bank. He is always very personable, and is a pleasure to deal with. While all of the tellers are very nice, I would have to say James deserves the extra "star". He truly puts forth an excellent image of the HMECU. Outstanding Service Experience Details : I have been banking with the CU for about 8 years and have always been able to depend on Joanne for all my borrowing needs etc. I recently went through a divorce and Joanne assisted me with setting up my child support payments and also worked with me to arrange a possible payment plan on all my outstanding debts from my former marriage without going bankrupt. I recently started doing some banking with BMO but they have seriously lacked the service I have come to enjoy from the HMECU! Infact I will be moving ALL my banking BACK to the HMECU.

Outstanding Service Experience Details : Once again Gisele had come to our rescue. We were in a situation that we had no idea how to handle. So we called Gisele who never once hesitated to help us, she was such a great support through the ordeal. When a situation arose that she was not familiar with she was quick to go to other resources for help. With the phone tag that Gisele and Laurie had to do showed us that they are true professions who are very proud of the work they do for others. Our ordeal was such a stressful time for Dave and I just before Christmas and not knowing what our outcome would be was enough to send us over the edge, but Gisele was the one who helped us to hold it together. Se was quite anxious at the thought of the whole thing but had her mind quickly set at ease by the personable, down-to-earth and professional treatment of her by James.
As soon as we left the Branch she expressed her delight at how great James was to deal with. She plans to close her account at Canada Trust and move to HMECU.

I have recently experienced a situation which required a substantial increase in my line of credit, not to mention the stressful personal situation I found my self in.

I have always rec’d excellent service over the years without recalling any reason for a negative comment.

Outstanding Service Experience Details : I unfortunately had an emergency situation arise on a weekend, and needed to access my account. Having recently declined a debit card on my account (which I will now get), I remembered just logging in for the first time and seeing that the Hamilton Branch was open on Saturdays. I frantically got on the highway from Brantford, and called ahead to the Limeridge Branch letting them know I was on my way. I pulled onto the parking lot at 12:04pm and the wonderful staff waited for me to make my withdrawl.
I can\'t tell you how much this was appreciated and this type of service is unheard of at other banking institutions.
Unfortunatley I was too distracted to get the names of the receptionist on the phone that I talked to and the teller I dealt with. They were wonderful and very understanding.

Outstanding Service Experience Details : Although I usually go to the Limeridge Branch, my loan application was redirected to Pat at the Main West Branch. She handled my application and consolidation with total professionalism but yet she was super nice. She asked the right questions and found a great solution for me that I didn’t even think of. For me, sometimes dealing with banking can bring out anxiety. But her demeanor is so pleasant. She exudes niceness and calmness. She\'s super efficient and organized and because she had it all together I didn\'t need to get all flustered. I\'d deal with her again anytime even if it means driving across town!
