Changes to Saturday Hours

Please note that HMECU’s Saturday branch hours have changed. The Main West and Brantford branches will be closed on Saturdays, effective Saturday September 29th. The Limeridge branch will remain open Saturdays between 9:30am and 1:30pm to meet your banking needs.

We understand that this change may impact you. Even though the Main West and Brantford locations will be closed on Saturdays, we assure you there are plenty of ways you can bank with HMECU without having to visit a branch.

Cash Deposits

Deposit your cash at any of HMECU’s deposit taking ATMs (Limeridge lobby and drive thru, Main West lobby, Brantford lobby, or Hamilton City Hall on Jackson St), or using any of THE EXCHANGE® Network (any Credit Union) deposit taking ATM.*

Cheque Deposits

You can use an HMECU or The EXCHANGE Network ATM as listed above, or you can download and use the HMECU mobile app from the Apple or Google Play Store and use the Deposit Anywhere feature to take a picture of your cheque and deposit directly to your account!* This is a convenient simple way to deposit a cheque without even leaving your home.


HMECU offers online or telephone banking as a convenient way for you to transfer funds within your HMECU accounts, or you can download HMECU’s mobile app for more features on the go! You can also transfer between your chequing and savings account that are attached to your debit card using any HMECU or THE EXCHANGE Network ATM near you. If you need to transfer to another HMECU account that’s not your own, visit or call your branch to find out if we can set up a related account for you.

Bill Payments

Bill payments can be made quickly and easily using online or telephone banking, or use HMECU’s mobile app to pay your bills on the go.


Cash withdrawals can be made “ding free” using any HMECU or The EXCHANGE Network ATM, or use your Member Card® debit card to for point-of-sale purchases. You can also try using online banking or HMECU’s mobile app to send an Interac® e-Transfer instead of using cash, just ask us how!
