The purpose of the Hamilton Municipal Senior Service Awards is to honour senior citizens who have made an outstanding

voluntary contribution to enrich the social, cultural or civic life of our community

HMECU is proud to be apart of the Hamilton Municipal Senior of the Year Awards.  Our credit unions believes in an inspiring culture that values and respects our people and their contributions.  Recognizing individuals in Lifetime Achievement, Innovation, Behind the Scene, Diversity and Cultural, Leadership, Compassion and Companionship, Healthy and Active Living and the Economic Leadership Award in and above the Ontario Senior of the Year Award.

 

Ontario Senior Of The Year Award

The Ontario Senior of the Year is awarded by the Ministry of Citizenship and Immigration, and gives each municipality in Ontario the opportunity to honour one outstanding local Ontarian who after the age of 65 has voluntarily contributed to their community. Many different areas include the arts, literature, community service, education, fitness and sport or humanitarian activities.
