The Rate Riser gives you the confidence of a 5‑year investment with the freedom to access your money every year. You’ll enjoy rising rates over time, plus an annual cash‑out window that keeps your savings flexible when life changes. You can access your money once per year on your investment anniversary date, with a 7‑day window to withdraw all or part of your funds. Outside of that window, the investment can’t be redeemed until the next anniversary. Book an Appointment to get started.

You must keep at least $1,000 in the GIC after any partial withdrawal. If the balance drops below $1,000, the entire GIC will be redeemed.

Yes. A $1.50 withdrawal fee applies each time you make a withdrawal during your anniversary window.

Withdrawing before the full 5-year term may reduce the total interest you earn. The advertised Annual Effective Rate assumes you hold the GIC to maturity.
